Neonicholsonia is a monotypic genus of flowering plant in the palm family native to Central America (Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama). The genus and species names honor George Nicholson, a former curator of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and his successor William Watson.
