Nepal leopard

The Nepal leopard was proposed as a subspecies of leopard in the Nineteenth Century, native to Nepal, South Asia, with the taxonomic name Panthera pardus pernigra (J.E.Gray, Hodgson, 1863). Whether or not it is a subspecies of leopard, separate from the Indian leopard, remains to be seen, as with the Kashmir leopard.
