Nephele rectangulata

Nephele rectangulata is a moth of the family Sphingidae. It is known from forests from Sierra Leone to Congo and Uganda. The length of the forewings is 36–40 mm. There is a complete series of large lateral black spots on the abdomen. The ground colour of the thorax and forewings is rich olive-brown. The forewings have a straight silvery-white line running from the costa to the tornus, where it meets a straight silvery-white submarginal line, forming a right angle. The hindwings are uniform dark brownish-red.
