"One Step" was the Austrian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1997, performed in German almost exclusively (despite the English of the title) by Bettina Soriat. The song was performed fourth on the night, following Norway's Tor Endresen with "San Francisco" and preceding Ireland's Marc Roberts with "Mysterious Woman". At the close of voting, it had received 12 points, placing 21st in a field of 25.
