Pine Meadow Historic District

The Pine Meadow Historic District is a historic district in the town of New Hartford, in Litchfield County, Connecticut. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. It encompasses most of the historic 19th-century village of Pine Meadow, extending along Main Street (United States Route 44) between Wicket and Church Streets, and including properties on both of those streets. The village grew as a rural industrial center, powered by the adjacent Farmington River, and declined in the 20th century, leaving a high-quality collection of 19th-century architecture. * *
