Prevention of Infiltration Law

The Prevention of Infiltration Law is an Israeli law enacted in 1954, which defines offenses of armed and non-armed infiltration to Israel and from Israel to hostile neighboring countries. The law authorizes the Minister of Defense to order the deportation of an infiltrator before or after conviction. The purpose of the law was to prevent the entry of Palestinian refugees or their sympathizers (see fedayeen) into Israel and allow for their expulsion, for fear of terrorism.
