Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Mexico

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Mexico (Latin: Archidioecesis Mexicanus) (erected September 2, 1530, as the Diocese of Mexico) is a metropolitan diocese, responsible for the suffragan Dioceses of Atlacomulco, Cuernavaca, Tenancingo and Toluca. It was elevated on February 12, 1546. The archdiocese is the largest in the world, with more than 7 million Catholics.
