Slow Heat (1998) is an album by the American ambient musician Steve Roach. It contains one 71-minute track composed for continuous playback. The music consists of a natural insect ambience, recorded just outside Roach’s house, and slow, pulsating electronic chords. For inspiration, during the development of this recording, Roach monitored the mix on both indoor and outdoor speakers.
