The Fall is a British crime drama television series filmed and set in Northern Ireland. The series is created and written by Allan Cubitt, produced by Artists Studio, and shown on RTÉ One in the Republic of Ireland and BBC Two in the UK. It stars Gillian Anderson as DSI Stella Gibson and Jamie Dornan as serial killer Paul Spector. The title is a reference to the line 'Falls the shadow' from the poem "The Hollow Men" by T. S. Eliot.
