Thionville (French pronunciation: ​[tjɔ̃vil]; Luxembourgish: Diddenuewen; German: Diedenhofen [diːdn̩ ˈhɔfn̩ ] ) is a commune in the Moselle department in Alsace-Champagne-Ardenne-Lorraine in north-eastern France. The city is located on the left bank of the river Moselle, opposite its suburb Yutz.
