Thita Manitkul
Lt.Col Thita Manitkul (Thitiya Rangsitpol; born 8 November 1966) is a Thai politician and congresswoman who represented Thailand from 2001 to 2005 As the first spokesperson of the Thai Ministry of Defense, Rangsitpol led the successful effort to enact the Consription Act Payment 1995 (The salary would equal the Thai minimum wage) which resulted in more men willingly enlisting and less men avoiding the draft. Rangsitpol was elected in 2001 as the Woman Army Officer in the Thai Parliament, making her the first female army officer ever to have achieved elected office in Thailand.
