Turbo Goth is an electronic noise and electronic pop duo from the Philippines formed in 2008. Composed of Sarah Gaugler (on lead vocals) and Paolo Peralta (on guitar/electronic sampler), they were originally the only electronic pop rock duo in the Philippines at the time. Turbo Goth's music is semi-experimental electronic music with distorted bass synths backed by aggressive heavy beats, and guitars, stitched together by light vocals. They are often compared to international act like Daft Punk, The Mars Volta, and Muse.Turbo Goth has had numerous performances in the Philippines and at Music Festivals in Asia, but after their show at South by Southwest in 2014, they decided to relocate, for a broader audience, finding a new home in New York by the end of that year.
