Transmembrane domain length variation in the evolution of major histocompatibility complex class I genes
about
De novo transcriptome assembly facilitates characterisation of fast-evolving gene families, MHC class I in the bank vole (Myodes glareolus).Characterization of MHC class I alleles in sooty mangabeys as a tool for evaluating cellular immunity in natural hosts of SIV infection. At least four MHC class I genes are transcribed in the horse: phylogenetic analysis suggests an unusual evolutionary history for the MHC in this species.
