National Front (Iran)

The National Front (Persian: جبهه‌ی ملی ایران‎‎ Jebhe Melli Irân) is a political opposition party in Iran founded by Mohammad Mosaddegh and other secular, France-educated Iranian nationalist leaders in the late 1940s. It held power in the Iranian parliament for several years prior to the 1953 Iranian coup d'état and continued as an opposition force thereafter.
