The 2032 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XXXV Olympiad, is a forthcoming international multi-sport event expected to take place in Brisbane, Australia. The winning bid, expected to be Brisbane, is scheduled to be selected and announced by the International Olympic Committee on 20–21 July 2021, the eve of the 2020 Summer Olympics due to bidding rule changes. Brisbane was announced as the preferred bid on 24 February 2021, and is expected to become the host city. On 10 June 2021, Brisbane gained the IOC board approval, making it set to receive the rights to host the Olympics on 21 July 2021 and is expected to become the first host city to win the bid unopposed.
