Line 1 (Kunming Metro)

The Line 1/2 of the Kunming Metro (Chinese: 昆明轨道交通1/2号线; pinyin: Kūnmíng Guǐdào Jiāotōng Yī/Èr Hào Xiàn) is an rapid transit line that connects the Chenggong with Kunming's urban center. The line is 40.4 kilometres (25.1 mi) long and currently has 35 stations with the as the northern terminal, and as the southern terminal of the main line, and Kunming South Railway Station as the southern terminal of the branch line. The line entered into operation on 20 May 2013. On subway maps, the Line's color is red/ blue. Line 1/2 will be split into two operational lines once Line 1 (phase 3) and Line 2 (phase 2) is completed.
