House of Bourbon-Braganza

The House of Bourbon-Braganza (Spanish: Casa de Borbón-Braganza; Portuguese: Casa de Bourbon-Bragança) is an Iberian noble house that has its origins in a royal marriage arranged by King Charles III of Spain and his niece Queen Maria I of Portugal: in 1785 Infante Gabriel of Spain (1752–1788) married Infanta Maria Ana Vitória of Portugal (1768–1788). It was a short marriage: they both died three years later, in Madrid, with smallpox.
