MSX

MSX is a standardised home computer architecture, first announced by Microsoft and ASCII Corporation on June 16, 1983. It was conceived by Kazuhiko Nishi, then Vice-president at Microsoft Japan and Director at ASCII Corporation. The system was designed to be plug and play, thus requiring no user intervention either on hardware or software to install extensions.
