Wilton is a suburb of Cork City, and part of the townland of Togher. It is notable for being the site of Cork University Hospital, Cork's largest hospital. Other notable landmarks are Wilton Shopping Centre and St. Finbarr's Cemetery, which lies on the border between Wilton and Glasheen and is the resting place of many of Cork's most notable citizens. In July of 2016 some residents got very upset when they realized they were living in Togher. The situation was made all the more ludicrous by the fact that people thought this would effect property values in what is a very settled area.
