Edward Charles Holmes FRS FAA (born 1965, UK) is an evolutionary biologist and virologist, and since 2012 a National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Australia Fellow and professor at the University of Sydney. He is also an Honorary Visiting Professor at Fudan University, Shanghai, China (2019–present) as well as Guest Professor at the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Beijing, China (2014–present)
