Division of Gorton

The Division of Gorton is an Australian Electoral Division in Victoria. The division was created in 2004 to replace the abolished Division of Burke, and is named for Sir John Gorton, Prime Minister of Australia from 1968 to 1971. Gorton is located in the outer western suburbs of Melbourne, including the suburbs of Albanvale, Burnside, Cairnlea, Caroline Springs, Deer Park, Delahey, Derrimut, Hillside, Kings Park, Melton and Taylors Hill, as well as the townships of Diggers Rest, Eynesbury and Toolern Vale.
