Founded in 1999 by Ralph Bagley, the company developed Catechumen in 2000, which received generally positive reviews. The game's succcess led to a spiritual successor, Ominous Horizons: A Paladin's Calling, which was as well received positively, but due to a bad sales performance, N'Lightning's website was shut down and the company disbanded.
